    VRIKSHABANDHAN – A RAKHI OF GRATITUDE TO TREES   DLDAV Model School, Pitampura celebrated Vrikshabandhan, a unique and meaningful initiative that beautifully connected the spirit of Raksha Bandhan with the responsibility of protecting nature, under the able guidance of our respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Anupama Sinha.  The celebration witnessed the enthusiastic participation of our respected Principal Ma’am, esteemed Incharges, dedicated teachers, and enthusiastic students, who came together to tie colourful Rakhis around the trees within the school premises. The Rakhis symbolised love, gratitude, and a heartfelt promise to protect and nurture our green companions.  Students also displayed promise banners carrying meaningful messages pledging to safeguard trees, conserve natural resources, and contribute towards a greener and healthier future.     Hariyali Teej – A Celebration of Greenery   The Eco Club of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura celebrated the festival of Hariyali Teej by embracing its spirit of greenery and environmental conservation. Under the aegis of Mission Meri Life, Department of Education, and as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, students, Principal Ma’am, Supervisory Incharges, and teachers came together to plant saplings and contribute towards enhancing the green cover. The initiative beautifully blended the festive essence of Hariyali Teej with a meaningful commitment to nature. The plantation drive inspired everyone to take responsibility for protecting the environment and reaffirmed the school’s dedication to fostering a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet.

  Building Confidence, Courage & Personal Safety With the vision of empowering students with essential life skills beyond the classroom, Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura organized an impactful Self-Defence Mechanism and Safety Awareness Session for students of Classes VIII to X in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi Sunrise and Delhi Police . The interactive session was conducted by Mr. Kamal Kohli , Traffic Inspector, Delhi Police, and Mr. Raju Punia , Sub-Inspector, Delhi Police, who guided students on the importance of personal safety, self-awareness, presence of mind, and responsible behaviour in everyday situations. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, they motivated students to remain confident, alert, and prepared to face challenges with courage.   Freedom Is Not a Day, It Is a Responsibility   Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura proudly witnessed a meaningful and inspiring Special Morning Assembly presented by the students of Classes VIII-A and VIII-D on the thought-provoking theme "Freedom Is Not a Day, It Is a Responsibility." The assembly emphasized that true patriotism is reflected not only in celebrating Independence Day but also in fulfilling our responsibilities towards the nation every single day. The programme began with a warm Welcome Address followed by a serene Saraswati Vandana , seeking the blessings of the Goddess of Wisdom. A powerful Nukkad Natak captivated the audience with its inspiring message of discipline, honesty, unity, and responsible citizenship, reminding everyone that every individual plays a vital role in nation-building.
